EyecareX has officially graduated from the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), one of the most selective science and technology accelerators in the world. Founded in 2012 at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, CDL has since grown into a global, no-fee, no-equity mentorship network for seed-stage companies building on disruptive technology — and it's the same objectives-based process that helped launch companies like Xanadu in quantum computing.

Over the program's sessions, the EyecareX team worked through commercialization strategy, refined our go-to-market for AI-native optometry practice management, and pressure-tested the clinical and business case for automating the day-to-day work of independent eye care clinics.
Each session ended with a small number of concrete, measurable objectives — a discipline that pushed us to defend not just what EyecareX does, but why it needs to exist for optometrists running independent practices in a fragmented, largely paper-and-legacy-software market.
